EVERYTHING BAGEL DRUMSTICKS

I have a bad habit of buying jars of Everything Bagel seasoning every time I go to the store. So when I was trying to think of a new way to cook drumsticks, something I also have a lot of, I decided to make an updated version of Shake and Bake but with my favorite seasoning. I looked for an existing recipe but most either had a whole bunch of ingredient I didn't have on hand or I felt like they were missing a little something. I really like how the marinade and seasoning combo worked out so I am also thinking about trying it on pork chops this week. I'll let you know how it turns out.

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
Marinade-
4 tablespoons of mayo
4 tablespoons of mustard
3 tablespoons of honey
Frank's Red Hot sauce to taste ( I did several generous glugs)
2 generous pinches of salt
Pepper to taste ( I put in a lot)

12 Pasture Raised Drumsticks

1 jar of Everything Bagel seasoning

INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix marinade in a large bowl then combine in drumsticks making sure all sides are coated.

Let the drumsticks sit in marinade for 20-30 minutes to let the chicken absorb as much flavor as you have time for.

*With all the honey it creates a nice caramelized drumstick but also makes a mess, so I recommend putting down some parchment paper on your backing sheet for an easy clean up.

Spread drumsticks out on a baking sheet and generously sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning. If you want a thoroughly coated drumstick you could roll each individual drumstick in the seasoning if you poured it out onto a bowl but I was in a hurry and did it the fastest way possible.

Cooking time will vary depending on the size of your drumsticks. Estimated cooking time is 30-40 minutes but the most important part is to check the internal temp.

When the thickest part of your drumsticks are temping at 165 degrees you know they are ready to take out of the oven and rest.
